Today we had Nick come to our house to troubleshoot a mini split system. He was very friendly and provided some advice. It also should be known that Crandall’s and ProAir are one and the same.
This company (owners) on the other hand are prepared to rip you off. Their prices are EXORBITANT. To recharge 3 lbs of Freon was quoted at $987 ($705 labor + $282 Freon). Just Google that, on the high end, the material cost of the Freon is $8/lb vs $94/lb this company will attempt to charge you!
Worse, to troubleshoot/repair a possible leak in the system we were quoted $4-5,000. That’s unethical considering a new unit is between $950-2,100 at Home Depot and installation cost would be minimal considering a hole is already cut in our wall and bolts on ground to mount the fan.
Beware of this company! We opted to only pay their $150 service call fee.

They didn’t tell us that an after call was just to tell you that it’s broken but would then add on an additional 200 to open the parts store to get pieces that they think would fix it and the only trouble shooting they did was push the ignite button and say it’s not working. Waste of time and money. 10/10 do not recommend.

I highly recommend Crandall’s . Nick from HVAC came to inspect and create an estimate for a potential work on my furnace. Nick was extremely professional and knowledgeable. A true craftsman. He explained the potential problem and did and exemplary job of troubleshooting my issue. I will definitely be using Crandall’s for all my future HVAC and plumbing needs.

I’ve used Crandall’s for a variety of plumbing services including a whole home re-pipe and tankless water heater install and have been very happy with the results.
They added HVAC services in the last few years and I decided to use them for a furnace issue (the fan motor would not turn off the first time we used our heater this season). Rafael was the service technician and he couldn’t have been more professional, knowledgeable or helpful. He ran a full diagnosis and ultimately concluded that there were no repairs needed or any safety issues that existed (and the motor issue self corrected, of course!). Surprisingly, there was no charge for the service call. Great experience with Crandall’s HVAC service and I will use them for any future needs.

Was having trouble with my a/c unit. Nick came out and of course the unit was working just fine!! He tested a few things just to make sure. He did not charge me or try to find something that wasn’t there. Crandall’s didn’t charge me for even the service call as I was very local to their shop. I will definitely be contacting them again if anything should arise in the future!
