I don't know how many years I have been a customer of Jerrys, probably over 30 years. I don't deal directly with him very often because his staff always seem to be able to answer any of my questions and they are very professional. I recently double payed my homeowners insurance. When our out-of-state condominium flooded the kitchen floor, living room carpet and damaged some cabinetry, my manager called me right away and started a clean-up service working on it.. I called my Farmer’s agent, through Jerry, to report the incident and was helped in initiating a claim. I was 400 miles away and felt totally frustrated about the event, such a one that had never before happened. Fortunately the tenants worked with me and the cleaning was well underway when I got a call from a Farmers adjuster. He introduced himself politely and described accurately what had gone on, having spoken with Jerry whom I had informed first. He explained the process he would have to go through (viewing the damage, etc) and asked if I could set up a meeting for him with my manager to get access to the condo. He was totally looking out for my welfare, as was everyone. A few days later, before I even had a chance to me make the 400 mile trip to CA to see the place, the adjuster called me to say that his work was done, he had made cost of repair estimates, and asked if the amount seemed fair. Based on my prior research with the 3 contractors who would do the repair work, I told him that the offer was more than fair. He just needed to know if I wanted a paper check sent or an electronic transfer of funds. I opted for the latter which was made in about 3 days. I can’t thank Jerry, my manager, the adjuster enough for the smooth and fast work they put into my claim to Farmers. All turned out well and I have Farmers and others to thank, but mostly Farmers. If you are a landlord, be sure to get landlord insurance, and get it from Farmers, is my advice.
